Dr Devola Phillips is a highly qualified and experienced specialist neurosurgeon dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. She earned her undergraduate medical degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Nelson R. Mandela School of Medicine in 2005, laying the foundation for her distinguished career in neurosurgery.
In 2010, Dr Phillips began her specialist neurosurgical training at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in Durban, one of South Africa’s leading medical institutions. Her commitment to clinical excellence and research was recognised when she was awarded the Best Registrar Research Presentation at the Society of Neurosurgeons of South Africa’s annual congress in 2015.
Dr Phillips successfully completed her neurosurgical training in 2016 and was admitted as a Fellow of the College of Neurosurgeons of South Africa in the same year. Her extensive expertise and dedication to advancing neurosurgical care continue to set her apart in the field.

We specialise in advanced brain and spine care, offering microscopic and endoscopic brain surgery, brain tumour treatment, trauma management, and expert care for degenerative spine conditions. Our minimally invasive pain procedures include nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablation (Rhizotomy) to relieve pain and improve quality of life.
